I have been looking for ways to create more productive political dialog in contrast with the toxic negativity that has become the norm on social media. Braver Angels is a nationwide cross-partisan nonprofit dedicated to bridging the political divide. Braver Angels does a lot of different workshops and community events in different areas. Braver Angels also runs debates, but they are different than the classic debate club style. These debates are less formal and more like a discussion, with opportunities for multiple people to speak and ask questions in a structured format. Anyone can just show up. You can just watch, or you can participate without any prior training or preparation. You can also just show up and then decide if you want to participate or not.

Here are a few Braver Angels events coming up. I will be at all of these.
